A core goal of this project is to pair each Ordinal with satoshis of genuine historical significance, prioritizing those from the block where Bitcoin first crossed $100,000. Since these rare sats are limited, not every Ordinal may be inscribed on sats from that exact block. When necessary, other historically meaningful or rare satoshis that align with the collection’s intent will be used.
If enough $100K block sats are acquired, the Ultimate, Legendary, and Epic 1-to-1 pieces will be inscribed on the rarest sats from that moment, with the rest of the collection continuing to prioritize sats tied to the historic block. If this isn’t possible, the collection may expand to include other rare or historically significant satoshis—always preserving the same philosophy.
In Bitcoin, a satoshi’s rarity is defined not just by its numeric pattern, but by the historic events it has witnessed. These rare sats serve as provenance, anchoring every Ordinal in the collection to Bitcoin’s $100K milestone.
The Rarity of Satoshis in the Collection
Not all Ordinals in this collection are inscribed on the same class of satoshis. The rarity of the satoshi used increases alongside the rarity level of the Ordinal itself.
Where possible, the 1-to-1 Ultimate piece will be inscribed on the very first satoshi of the block associated with Bitcoin’s initial $100,000 crossing. Legendary, Epic, and Rare pieces prioritize increasingly scarce satoshis from that same historic moment.
Common and baseline pieces may use satoshis from the same block or other historically meaningful satoshis.
The collection’s broader rarity framework is detailed in the Rarity Structure, along with documentation of the block, timestamp, and satoshi provenance on the Verification Page.
